First it's Dick Enberg and now it's Bud Collins? What do you have against broadcasting and journalism legends like Enberg and Collins that ESPN keeps compiling? Bud may talk too much but I'm glad ESPN hired him. Afterall NBC hardly let Collins talk the last 10 years he worked there. I don't want to hear an old man basically tell us that Marta Domachowska makes him excited. He interrupted play at least twice to do that. Bud is fine when he's interviewing, or blabbing outside of matches. Live tennis? No. I miss the first few days watching online with no announcers... You too Leena? Bud Collins hasn't had the chance to comment on live tennis in a long time so maybe he's just finding his form again. But you make a good point about sports broadcasting legend Dick Enberg even though he means no harm.

What's great about the last few games is that they prove that, if Serena loses, it's not because of an injury. It's because she blows today.

Mary Carillo just reported that Justine opens and reads letters from her coach at the ends of matches. See? Cheater. ;D
This match blows x 25.

I miss Pohmann as German commentator. He always made the most hilarious comments. Everyone hated him, but I loved it.

It was Bud who drooled over Marta...
Enberg, we already know about. He should have been put out to pasture years ago. For all sports.

But for some reason Bud loves to count the number of strokes. Maybe, maybe, that's because that's the most interesting thing that comes to his mind. Time to retire. I've always been annoyed by him, especially his interviews of Wimbledon finalists after the match.

Jelena oozed such confidence in that service game. Serena saw her and raised her in the last one, didn't she?

Horrible match. Jelena choked. Serena sucked beyond comprehension. JJ will almost certainly lose in the semis. But. I. Don't. Give. A. Damn.

Um, okay.
I approve of this result, but I'm not full of joy or something. Jelena being in the semis is a bit of a joke. She is far from her best, and Paszek should have beaten her. But it doesn't matter. If she doesn't improve next round she will be out, and who remembers AO semifinalists? Belinda Cordwell and Marianne Werder-Witmeyer () are forgotten.
Serena beat herself, imo.

JJ can't believe she won. She probably had 5-7 0-6 in her mind too.
