It sounds like Sergio is taking this one really well! LOL! Troof. Poor little fella. Why...why are you up at 6:18.

I forgot about Sergio's massive collapse last year! At least this year he's decided to suck from the very beginning. Ew, Greg Norman resurgence? Is this due to Chris America's vaginal skills??

Wow...I had forgotten Sergio fucked this up TWO years in a row!
Also, is Chocco Mediate the Real #2? Discuss.

You mean Real #1. Eldrick really has Serena's flu.

Greg Norman leading this is akin to Brenda Schultz reaching the SF of a slam. He barely even practices anymore.
But, Camilo in the lead group on Saturday = must watch TV.

Duval is back! With 30 more pounds, but hey I love him.

Duval's weight fluctuations during his career are disturbing.

Duval's whole career is disturbing! Welcome back, though. I can't stand Greg Norman. I hope leads by a mile until the last 3 holes on Sunday, and then chokes it all away in humiliating style, like that world-class Masters choke of his. That choke made Novotna look like a Sampras and is a fond memory for me.

Um, can this not happen? I'd almost rather have Tigre win.

Good crap, why do you guys hate Greg Norman?
I don't think janie is even old enough to remember when he dominated golf.

Post by DBBN on Jul 19, 2008 22:04:48 GMT -5
Because he's leathery, like Rod Stewart. And he is old. This would be like Novotna coming back unranked and winning the Australian.

I'm different because I like the old folks coming back to win. Like Navratilova, I think most of you hated that.
The problem here is that Norman wasn't even serious about playing. He just showed up with no preparation, the weather went his way, and he's putting out of his mind.
But, I can't help but want him to get some revenge for the '96 Masters, which was the most depressing sporting event I've ever watched. And the absolutely cruel fortune he had in American majors.
He could best Nicklaus' BS '86 Masters win here. Which would be kinda cool.

Also, this will support the Tigre-is-GOAT theory. He skips a major and a mummy wins. That was my problem with the Navratilova return as well. Don't expose how crappy the sports I like are! The Williams sisters do that every year.

Golf will always have weird results due to how much luck is involved. Especially in the English Open played on shitty courses in shittier weather. And it's a sport you can stay legit competitive in until you're elderly.
The Tiger is GOAT was clinched to most a handful of years ago. Accept it, haters.
Tennis has no excuse, so it's different.

I usually do root for all old people in sports. I loved Dikembe Mutombo; I loved seeing Navratilova playing and playing to the age of 60 or 70! And the truth is, I did feel awful when GN choked away that Masters.
But in the past few years I've come to realize GN is a schmuck. He proved that when he snaked his best friend's wife. And I can't bear that wife, Chris "I take what I want" America, so the combo of the two of them is too much to bear.

Norman appears to have shit the bed today. With 4 holes left and 3 shots back, I suppose a comeback isn't impossible. But yeah, probably not. Janie and Hurley will probably sleep tonight.

Boo Tiger! Here are your instructions for the next four days. Please don't: -- Win -- Play "poorly" (in Tiger terms) at first, but then suddenly make a record-breaking, awe-inspiring run on Sunday -- Win Please do: -- Curse loudly so even the commentators can't ignore it, for once -- Rudely brush off fans, but this time in front of the cameras -- Have your caddy beat people up if they get too close, again in front of the cameras -- Miss the cut! -- Or at least lose, preferably badly so you're not a threat, not even a Special Tiger Miracle Comeback threat, on Sunday

I'm sorry...TOM WATSON??!?!?!?!?!?

Don't worry about Tom Watson. Old golfers are always capable of one or two great, even spectacular, rounds, but can never, ever string together four of them. You'll see!

Last year with Norman was so scary, though :sobbing:
Villegas shot a 66. He can win.
