I think Justine would take Amelie's. It seems she only cares about a few tournaments per year now.

I don't think so. She made every big final, and that would mean 4R at her favorite tournament.

I'm fairly certain neither one of them would trade their year for the other's. JHH should be Player of the Year because she won six titles and finished #1. Amelie should be ITF World Champion because she won two Slams. End. Yes, Yes, and Yes.

That's ridiculous. Inconsistent? Amelie was quite consistent. Two first-match exits (Sydney, Yeastbourne), everything else a QF, SF, F or W (four). When you're going for player of the year, that's usually not good enough. Especially against someone who has a much more consistent record. Not my argument. Lisa said she wasn't consistent. Stupid remark.

There is no question that Henin is the player of the year. None. I would take her year anyday over Amelie's. If GS were all they had to play fine...but there is a whole yr. to deal with. Amelie played 17 tournies, or 18, and was barely impressive in a handful of them. Sjengster...yea to what lelee say; it doesn't compare to Henin's or Shara for that matter where consistency is concerned. Half of the time she wasn't even convincing in her play.
