So, will Maria show up for Bali and become *OFFICIAL* queen of the MMs?

Yes. She's officially become the 2nd coming of Makiri. New rule: Hair down. Always. And looking through Mariabot pics, why are there so many close-ups of her face. She's not ugly, ok. But, she does not have an appealing face. She has horrendous skin. Her face always looks screwed unless you alter her so much that she looks unrecognizable. She's a blonde with exotic eyes and she's tall. That's it. Only focus on that. And hide her crushing shoulders.

And her terrible, terrible dress sense.

And another thing.
The only attribute she has that's worthy of modeling is her legs. So, you need to show all of them. And clean up your knees. Bruises are easy to cover up, that's just being lazy.
Is she wearing a bowling glove in that pic? I didn't notice that earlier. What the hell is that.

Unless you're 55 and have yoga legs, that outfit is not okay. I'm with Willow 100% on the dress sense remark and Leelee 100% on the face/shoulders/hair. Maria does have a few, select, attractive features. I have no idea why she doesn't work them and stop bringing attention to everything else that doesn't work. This is just nonsense.

Again, I do not dislike that outfit. And quite like Maria's style.

If you want to see Maria looking beautiful, just watch her final post-match PC on the USO site. She looks absolutely gorgeous in that informal setting. Of course I don't have an HD tv, so I can't see people's skin pores, nose hairs, dandruff flakes or lice nits along their hairline, etc. And no comment on the shirt with NIKE written in 1-foot-tall letters.

NEW YORK, NY, USA - Maria Sharapova unveiled on Monday her new premium candy line, Sugarpova, which reflects the fun, fashionable and sweet side of the four-time Grand Slam champion. Premium yet affordable, the line includes unexpected and fun types and shapes with playful names to match.
They just look like every other nasty, synthetic type of sweet. Anyway, good to see Ma$ha following in the footsteps of the Williams sisters' McDonald's tour and promoting healthy, sports-friendly food!

She's never been shy in shading players she feels superior to - Radwanska, Jankovic. But this was...unexpected.
Maybe she was genuinely offended by Serena's cattiness (even if it wasn't even confirmed that it was about her). Maybe she senses that media-wise, Serena's suddenly vulnerable. I wish she'd gone after Serena for the rape apologist BS rather than the high school bitchiness though.

MS probably never even heard about the rape comments. She "lives, breathes and dresses tennis", remember? Clearly someone took the trouble to bring these Ma$ha-related comments to her attention. Of course the comments were about MS. No other top-5 player has been cooing about their BF in their press conferences. Couldn't believe it when I saw that TFers were speculating it was Petra. Though maybe we PK fans do wish she'd live and breathe tennis for a while.

I assumed it was Wozniacki! The writer pretty much admits he doesn't know who it was about.

Yeah, Woz would make sense bf-gushing-wise, but she hasn't been top 5 for quite a while. Of course Serena might not know the rankings. ;-)

She's talking about two players though.
“There are people who live, breathe and dress tennis. I mean, seriously, give it a rest.” Serena exits the car and the conversation moves on to a top-five player who is now in love. “She begins every interview with ‘I’m so happy. I’m so lucky’ – it’s so boring,” says Serena in a loud voice. “She’s still not going to be invited to the cool parties. And, hey, if she wants to be with the guy with a black heart, go for it.” (An educated guess is she’s talking about Sharapova, who is now dating Grigor Dimitrov, one of Serena’s rumored exes.)

My original thought was Wozniacka, but people assumed it was Ma$ha even though it wasn't fitting except for Dumitrov and the dress tennis part (and what about your sister who tried to do that as a CAREER and yourself for that matter... oh whatever).
Edit: I didn't know Serena and Grigor were a thing. Why is he dating top SEWTAers significantly older than him.

www.youtube.com/watch?&v=a5IsREI7tP4 - the video of the press conference. Also, this is not allowed to be discussed on TF apparently - they keep locking and deleting any thread that opens on this topic. That is odd, keeping in mind it's TF which THRIVES on such stuff.

This new outburst of personality from Maria might force me to root for her against Serena (especially after her comments on rape and later non-apology)
But please please can someone beat them both?

The way most Serena fans defended and agreed with Serena on everything made sure I won't come back there for a while.

You know, guys, I'm not even sure Serena's comments were about Sharapova. Wozniacki makes much more sense (as if Serena knows who is in the top 5...but I guess she didn't even say that anyway). And, Maria is a bigger celeb than Serena who, let's face it, does not struggle to get invites to the cool parties. Woz, on the other hand....
Or even Petra? LOL.
Somehow I think Serena would have been more scathing had she lashed out at Maria.
But then the "black heart" bit.
OMG. Dramz~~~Z!S11

If Serena has an IQ above 80 (hmmmm) she could make Ma$ha look stupid and totally make up some BS (or even tell the truth) by either denying the whole thing or saying it was definitely not about her. Or something.

It HAS to be Martha. It doesn't matter if she actually is invited or not to cool parties. The only player Silliams would care about which parties she is invited to has be player who is as popular as she is. And then there is the black heart comment, which points directly at Martha's boyfriend given Serena's history with him. Woz or Petra just makes no sense.
Anyway, I think Martha made a big mistake here. After Serena made all those dumb and insensitive comments, it was the perfect timing to display hum... intelligence and subtlety?

Of course it's her. She wouldn't have said anything if she wasn't 100000000000% sure Serena was talking about her. I'm surprised she reacted, though, it seems somewhat out of character. Apparently Serena has a press conference tomorrow, but I really don't think she'll say anything controversial this time. I see people on TF are praising Azza for staying out of the whole affair. I don't see why she would comment on something that definitely does not have anything to do with her.
