GOOOOOOO VENUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Which we will only see on tape, since NBC took the rights for it. ESPN is not even allowed to mention the score, or maybe even that the match is underway. So JH vs SW will not be aired live, either.

"There was other history made at Wimbledon today when a doubles match between Paul Hanley of Australia and Zimbabwe’s Kevin Ullyet against the Brazilian duo of Marcelo Melo and Andre Sa went to a fifth and deciding set that Melo and Sa captured by an extraordinary 28-26 score. The match including 102 games in all, a record for a Wimbledon doubles match."

Venus raised her hand after a lucky netcord. I've never seen her do that before.

I guess it is slightly delayed, but they're about to pick it up again in a moment.

Are they really? Because...they're still pretending they're in a rain delay.
I hope right after this Jimmy Roberts crapfest update they go right to live.

I doubt they go right to live, but ... they'll probably show the match from the resumption on now. I hate Jimmy Roberts!! That was my first exposure to him. You could see that he didn't know where Djokovic is from ... "And Djokovic from ... Djokovic is the fourth seed ..."

To hell with NBC. I am following the *LIVE* scoreboard instead, and it doesn't make banshee cries.

Is there some sort of law that Johnny Mac and Carillo are on each and every single NBC tennis broadcast? I question Maria's tactics. She could play safer and that would probably be better. I still have vivid memories of their classic 2005 semifinal where Venus simply outplayed her - ran faster, jumped higher, hit harder, grunted louder, Richard even out-glared Yuri. I sort of see this occurring again today. Down the middle. Attack her second serve, but just try to put the first ball in and wait for the patented Venus retarded error.

To hell with NBC. I am following the *LIVE* scoreboard instead, and it doesn't make banshee cries. My Internet hasn't worked well since I moved. I have to repair my connection 10 times an hour. Kind of puts a damper on anything streaming. But, yeah...this match is very loud. I wonder what my roommates think I'm watching. (Who am I kidding. They know I'm watching tennis.)

Bartoli has seized a 4-1 advantage in the second set. Yes, Marion, go! Did anybody have her as the sole remaining Frenchwoman in the QF?

Oh, I'm sorry, Hurley. Well in real life, Sharapova leads 3-2. She is struggling mightily on each service game but V has not been able to get the break yet, dang it. But V just held. She is doing that easily. now BREAK!!
