I think Svetlana has a shot as winning. It's so unexpected for her to be there, she enters the court having nothing to lose.

Post by Calico on Sept 8, 2007 9:29:45 GMT -5
I'm prediciting 3 upsets today with Ferrer beating Djokovic in 4 sets, Davydenko shocking Federer in 5 sets and Kuznetsova wearing down Henin in 3 sets. And I think the heat and humidity will play a fractor in the mens semifinals while a letdown after beating the Williams sisters will hurt Henin tonight in the final against Kuznetsova. And not having a day off will hurt Henin as well.

NOT BEFORE 3PM [4] Nikolay Davydenko (RUS) d. [1] Roger Federer (SUI) At RG, it was [4] Nikolay Davydenko (GOD) d. [1] Roger Federer (LOS). ;D I'm not sure if I'll watch. We all know Fed will junkball Davydenko to death, and that he'll choke when it comes to crunch time.

Nole has that Sampras-like ability to look lazy and out of it for most of the set, then somehow win every important point. Dave is really blowing this opportunity, though.

One thing is for sure. Federer will have to work much harder to beat Davydenko this year in the semi's than last year in the semi's and that could cost Federer in the final. If he makes it there that is.
