I, like much of the press, have convinced myself that this is The Year.
It's probably not.

I, like much of the press, have convinced myself that this is The Year. It's probably not. It's not because Federer is serving the best he ever has at Wimbledon. Nadal is ready to win Wimbledon but Federer is serving too well to lose the title. I think Federer wins 6-3 7-6(4) 3-6 7-6(5) to win his sixth Wimbledon in a row. I want Nadal to win but logic tells me Federer has the difference maker in this enormous Wimbledon final and that's his serve.

If it rains out tomorrow, which has a slight chance of occurring, would Monday be Day 15?

If it rains out tomorrow, which has a slight chance of occurring, would Monday be Day 15? Yes. In one of my favorite memories in tennis was Stefan Edberg upsetting Boris Becker in 4 sets on day 15 of Wimbledon 1988 to win the gentleman's singles title.

Yes. 1992 was Stich's odd doubles specialist year.

That reminds me of the time I said that Boris Becker was attractive. I, much like you, was horribly mistaken.

Yes. 1992 was Stich's odd doubles specialist year. You're like Bud Collins with your vast tennis knowledge. Thanks for the year of the McEnroe/Stich Wimbledon doubles title. It's too bad rain could play a factor today in the Wimbledon gentleman's final.

All I got is a choppy stream with Turkish commentary because I am on a 300K connection.
I should just switch to Radio Wimbledon, probably more enjoyable.
Fuck this shit.

Well, the stream is good enough to see that Federer's backhand is sucking already.

Am I alone in not being riveted by this match? Nadal was lucky to eek out that first set.

And the crowd is really vocally on Federer's side, which is... irritating. Why must the British continue to do things which bother me?

Yeah Nadal barely squeaked out the first. Federer's gonna roll him now. All in all, better than any women's match but still disappointing nonetheless.

Federer is up 4-1 in the second set and seems to be righting the ship after dropping the first set 6-4. Nadal needs to serve first in the third set so he can hold serve and put the pressure on Federer's serve.

Atleast the British tennis fans aren't as bad as the arrogant French tennis fans. Incorrect. Cultural differences can account for the gross misconception that the British are just peachy while the French are "rude". In other news... I thought Fed had this set in the bad 15 minutes ago. I was wrong.

Cultural differences can account for the gross misconception that the British are just peachy while the French are "rude". In other news... I thought Fed had this set in the bad 15 minutes ago. I was wrong. I guess I stand corrected. And I thought Federer was going to cruise to winning the second set. But Nadal has won 4 games in a row after being down 4-1 and is serving for the second set at 5-4 and a 2 set lead.

And the crowd is really vocally on Federer's side, which is... irritating. Why must the British continue to do things which bother me? Meh. Only been a couple of 'wow' rallies thus far, and Fed is crumbling horribly now; he looks FURIOUS! Rafa was just given a time violation serving for the set at 30-30 and wins the next point with a stunning sliced backhand pass cross court. Two sets to love. He is Superman.
