Everytime I come over here, poke my nose out of Briny's PC, I am delighted by the posts and how much fun you have with each other. Remnds me of the old days at parts of cbssprotsline, Turkey, and Tottally Intelligent Tennis. I especially enjoyed hearing the greatest match ever debunked. The story line was spectacular, two careers, so much at stake, the duel of quests. I am one of those Federer fans who also like Nadal, but always root for Federer when he plays Nadal, and then, feel bad for Rafa, a little when he loses. In contrast I hate the green with envy ND, the guy who knows envy breeds "Pray your neighbors cow dies!" and would give a pretty penny for his thought about the match, lol. The tension was supreme:I saw sets one and two as the supposed 'ghost of the French Open" that Roger had been annoyingly asked about every day, and finally, sick of his denial (not much choice, who wants to talk to those idiots with their questions about deep dark things) making an appearance. (how else explain 1-12 break point opportunities...and the obligatory death of a serveice game each set)I feared he might go under in three, and feel humiliated. I thought the rain delay gave him time to acknowledge his ghost, and the possibilities and clear them out. Is he all alone on these breaks since he has no caoch, or can he designate one of his group to come in? I wondered about that. The third and the fourth set, less unforced errors for him, and that wicked winning inside out forehand. I thought he'd lose in the fourth set tb, but then at 5-2, I think, or was it 5-3 Rafa had his one moment of choke, the df. I thought RAFA recognized it for what it was, a momentary lapse, and he smiled, a you don't do that, did you, no? That was enough life to have Federer take that set, too. The fifth was so intense and extraordinary drama, I have no reacall of the game where Federer "cracked...".JMac). The best part of the match are the after the match shots, the level of feeling about the match, each man, and between them was extraordinary for what they let show. I have wanted the roof more than anyone, but now think I'll miss the rain delays Corswalt, guest, or mother/father superior, come back!!! thus spakke Freudothrustra
