That was awful. Why would you keep serving to Ree's FH when she is obviously unconfident with the BH. Ugh.

Dulko had at least 5 SPs. She played horrible on four of them, either silly UEs or puffy 2nd serves that Serena punished. While she played amazing on BPs, until the last one. Go figure.

Hmmm. Dulko serving for the set. At least she's been around long enough to not totally choke this away. Right? Right?

The racist crowd is cheering for Dulko, who just got very unlucky with a mis-hit return that somehow landed just on the line out of her reach.

Dulko actually played very well at times, but that's too bad when you can't win any points that count.

Having just watched the Serena-Dulko second set, I retract my earlier cynicism. It was a good match! 12 deuces in that 5-3 game, ouch. Serena impressed me. She wins the title here in odd-numbered years, right? So I guess she'll be the champ again this year. Dulko has nice strokes and if Pennetta can be top 15, so can she. Then again, she's probably too petite to be a consistent top twenty player.

OH MY GOD I AM SO HUNGOVER MY HEAD HURTS SO MUCH I hosted a port and stilton evening last night (sophisticated) and actually did literally pass out on my keyboard, as predicted by Janie (not sophisticated). Luckily, no puking (sophisticated!) Now. Does ANYONE remember MJMS qualifying for Wimbledon and making the third round LAST YEAR? I remember that! I remember thinking WTF Mirza, how do you lose to MJMS on grass. Cibulkova's bagels Possible all-Bond showdown in the next round! Both winnable matches, too. But also, given the Bond girls, losable. Surprised and slightly disgusted by Lisicki's straight-set loss to Stosur. THUNDER Maybe this is the year that Peng finally breaks through, though! Oh, who am I kidding, she will never break through. JWT/Ljubicic is a good match. Ljubicic was *6-3 up in the third set TB but JWT saved the first two with dropshots (!), took the set and is a break up in the fourth now. Still, I always forget how good Ljubicic can be.

CSN has served out the set (the anti-Dulko!) 6-3. Now if she can beat Venus, that might just make this tournament interesting.
