lol @ WTA
I will likely completely miss both men's semis. Nadal's match is 1am my time, and Djoker's sometime around 330am. I get up for work at 550am.

lol @ WTA I will likely completely miss both men's semis. Nadal's match is 1am my time, and Djoker's sometime around 330am. I get up for work at 550am. It's been a tough U.S. Open for you Becca fanwise that is. But atleast you'll get to see the women's final where Kim Clijsters a mother will win a grand slam singles title. My prediction is Clijsters d. Wozniacki 6-4 6-4 which by the way was the Sharapova d. Henin final score in the 2006 U.S. Open women's final. A mom winning a grand slam after being retired for over 2 years really is amazing. It's almost unthinkable. Wozniacki's biggest problem facing Clijsters is that Clijsters is faster and plays better defense than Caroline does. And Kim has more firepower too. Caroline will need to play a near perfect match to defeat Clijsters tonight. Unless Kim can't handle the pressure of being the favorite in the final. That would open the door for Wozniacki.

There is a slight chance I will still be up for Nadal's match tonight.

You'd prefer this to The Rivalry, wouldn't you? This final is probably too much for me to ask for. Something awful will happen to prevent it. Namely, I don't think Nole will win. I think Nadal probably will, mainly because I don't see Del Pony beating him over 5 sets in the biggest match of his career so far - this is Pony's first SF, isn't it? I should start paying attention to tennis again.

I'm not surprised that Del Potro is blowing away Rafa right now, and I don't think anybody else is either. Nadal has maybe a couple minutes to turn this around because I don't think he's in any condition to come from 2 sets to love down.

Roar. This is a romp in the wrong direction! I was planning on a DP gag! And I don't care enough about DP to be excited that another slam finalist (who has the potential to return to a final next year) may be added to the mix. That, and I think DP-Fed is the worst possible final combo of the bunch. Regardless, it's bed time!

I don't think Pony vs. Fed would be bad at all. They played an excellent match at Roland Garros where Pony had Fed on the ropes and Fed just tired him out in the end. But that's more unlikely to happen again now and here. Pony has improved dramatically again this year and he might be ready now.
