Screw a roof. The proper solution is to move the tournament to SoCal. More fans that care. Less obnoxious Joos. Williams will boycott. No Kim due to radiation. Karolina wins a slam and people like her. SEWTA is saved.

Yay, tennis. Luckily, NYC has missed both bands of rain this morning. Although, Armstrong is leaking... time to move Andrew to Court P25.

Simon has broken Ivo 3 times thus far, and he's going to lose because he's a weinie pusher.
There's still like a 50/50 chance that rain pops up, so they should just Andrew to Court 13 and accept what a failure this tournament is.

There's still like a 50/50 chance that rain pops up, so they should just Andrew to Court 13 and accept what a failure this tournament is. 2003 was really bad too, but they got lucky for a bunch of years in a row after that. This is now an atrocious year after two terrible ones. The problem is Ashe can't hold a roof, so either you put a roof on Armstrong (which apparently needs one more) and have your non-marquee stadium be the one in play during rain, or build a new marquee stadium with a roof (probably by razing Armstrong and Grandstand and building a roofed Ashe clone in their stead). Either way, Ashe becomes relegated to second-string, and all of the money spent on it was a giant waste and could actually get people indicted.

The US Open is officially worse than Wimbledon.
Who'd have thought in the 70s that the Australian and French would end up being superior Slams to Wimbledon and the US Open? Billie Jean's going to have to talk up a storm to further denigrate the Australian and Margaret Court's record.

Here's what I predict will happen: Duck/Fit D will go on Grandstand after Muzza finishes feasting on Donna; Stosur/Zvonareva or Kerber/Pennetta will move to 13 and the other of those two will go to/stay on Court 17.

Billie Jean's going to have to talk up a storm to further denigrate the Australian and Margaret Court's record. I don't think they thought, at the time, that they would need a stadium with a roof. What nobody planned on was human activity drastically increasing global weather events ruining everything. They should have consulted AL.

Does this mean Wozniacki goes on Court 13 too? And also the following match? This...is hilarious. I am loving the squirming. Apparently the McEnroes fought about it the other day. Maybe next year the players will join the umpire in a combined boycott
