Actually for about 10-15 minutes before that, I was thinking if it wasn't a slam final she'd probably retire. She looked fucked. Well at least lizchris agrees with me.

Oh, and now who takes the claim as the best player not to win a slam! Demented? Schnyder? Nadya? Bovina? We're running quite thin now. None of the active players qualify.

Except for Bovina, of course.

Dementieva would probably be closest, if only because she's been in two slam finals. *shrug*

Except for Bovina, of course. Don't make fun! Although, she's seriously Top 5 in that list now. And I miss her lots.

Something was very, very wrong with Justine. She just doesn't give up like that, and she was sobbing after the match.
I was thinking of that question, Leena.

And then complain about double standards when you laugh at Serenas fat arse.

There is a difference between a nice ass and a big ass. Serena's ass is big, but it's not nice. It's like Mother Love's.

Some people like big ass, though.
I'm sure some don't admire the tight little ass of our beloved Tina, as well.
And you like Tati's indent.

As with boobies, shape is more important than size. Its just the way certain people sneer at Tati and Dani, then scream double standards when its Serena. Just the usual, like now they're saying, omg, if Venus or Serena retired from a GS final like this, they'd be ripped apart!!! Whereas when Justine does it, she just, um, gets ripped apart!!! RACISTSTSTS!!!!!!!!!!

This is the first retirement in a women's GS final in 40 years. Where Nancy Richey withdrew before the final against Margaret Smith Court in the 1966 Australian Open. Which was played in a dump somewhere then.

The more I mull it over, the more this seems really fuckin' cheap. Imagine if Kim had retired when she was getting destroyed at the French in 03. I can't imagine Amelie is too enchanted with her. Did anybody catch when Justine and the umpire were talking it over, about to announce the retirement, and Amelie came walking to the net, heard it and exclaimed, "WHAT?!" She's not happy and nor should she.
Justine intensely wants to win, but that can manifest itself in ugly ways. I think this was one of them.

I'm watching through it again... and it really seems like Justine just didn't want to go through with the loss.
She called the trainer after that really long rally. Lost that game. Trainer gives her Gaviscon. Going down 0-30, makes an error, grimaces, and says that's it. I don't know... it wasn't that bad to where she couldn't have given it a go for at least a couple more games. And then if you're down 6-1 4-0... just stay out there for Amelie's sake. And who knows if she totally spazzes at the thought of winning.
Justine gets a little benefit of the doubt from me because of her past illnesses... but, if it was Vee or Ree doing this... I'd be jumping all over them. I gotta be fair and dog Justine for this.

So. Yeah. I mean, yes, Justine wouldn't just quit. She doesn't. This is not fake.
This, however, could have been played through, and there is no doubt in my mind she quit because she was getting humiliated. I'm disappointed but she's still my fave player.
I'm not going to head to WTAW for a loooooooooong while though ;D
