Found it! From THe Age
What a dynamic duo Czech Martin Damm and Indian Leander Paes make. Turned out they were defeated in a close men’s doubles final by the Bryan twins, but when they were on top, their enthusiasm was outstanding.
Without a hint of selfconsciousness, the pair frequently clapped chests after their winning shots in well-executed body slams that took male bonding on the sporting field to another level. And once the American twins gained control of the match, they gave it a go as well, though it took a little practice before their unions were coordinated. Just who owned the body slam was a contentious point post-match. Mike Bryan said he was "pissed off" that his move had be stolen. "It’s never fun seeing someone steal your move and do a chest pump at you," he said. Then, in the losers’ press conference, Leander said that he’d been practising the "chest bump" since he was a teenager.
"I’ve been doing it since I was about 16 years old. I’m 32 now." Maybe the four men need to get together and have a chest bump-off because clearly, it wasn’t all left out on court. Paes said Mike Bryan had a history of clocking opponents with smashes, but said he’d learnt to expect the behaviour from the "insecure little fella". "He’s obviously not as good a player as his brother is. He always starts that up because that’s what it takes for him to fire up. You expect that with him. That’s the way it is. So be it."

Ha! If Mike thought the chest bump pissed him off, wait until he sees that!

By the way, I just read that Leander secretly married the ex-wife of Indian film star Sanjay Dutt and she is 7 months preggers with Leander's child. Something else he stole, then.

The woman in question, Rhea Pillal, is apparently something of a meditation and "art of living" guru. This is from one of her texts:
"My association with art of living and Guruji Sri Sri Ravi Shankar has taught me to discover and identify my breath and tap the Prana , which can be channelled to build, purify and strengthen the entire human energy system – the circuitry through which life energy flows within us. I believe in the power of 'Now' – wherever you are, be there totally. By bringing immense energy and well honed attention to the moment, we can be fully and brilliantly aware."
/me takes a moment to identify his breath

She carried him! He should be a gentleman and admit it -- well probably he did so; it's traditional, isn't it, that the guy always credits the girl for the win, and blames himself for the losses (at least in public!) That's how the whole world should be. ;D

She'll miss Mahesh in Tokyo. MARTINA HINGIS: It was nice to be hitting with him on the days off I had. He was a great hitting partner to have, you know, in between the times and to get ready for my singles matches and then we played doubles. So it was just really nice to get used to the speed. So I'm like, "Hmm, keep it up." It would be nice to have a hitting partner like him.

Like she couldn't easily get another male hitting partner. Both tennis, and otherwise.

Jensen brothers started that chest bump thing, anyway. All the rest are imitators.

Why on earth would anybody want to take credit for the most homoerotic move in tennis anyways? I mean, unless they are openly gay of course, then all the power to them ;D

It's annoying that Indian players (or any other profession) don't get along ...and the fact that God is a middle aged lesbian.

Good to read some Henin fans are honest and fair enough to NOT defend something you can't defend. Especially after the silly Kim bashing.

Well not even the homoerotic part, but the "why would anybody want to take credit" part. For the Jensen brothers it was just part of their whole silly shtick. But these current guys seem to be taking it seriously, like it's actually a "cool" move, or something. Hey guys: it's NOT.

Anyway, it's obvious that Justine did the wrong thing. But everyone does stupid things. I'm not going to stop being her fan because of this. If everyone dropped their respective fandoms because of any dumbass thing people do, no one would have fans. The Williams sisters would be in thousands upon thousands of negative fans. They'd be in fan debt. And, lest you be confused, Kim still sucks more than anything ever.

I mean, shit. Let's discuss how Martina Hingis ENDED TENNIS ETIQUETTE FOREVER AND EVER AMEN at the FO '99. Remember last week when Hingis was Queen of World? Right.
People have short memories. Marv Albert is on Letterman weekly. O.J. Simpson is President. You know? The world keeps on turning.

I only wish she had managed to bring herself to utter how great Amelie played and deserved the title and blah. That would make things much easier for her. But, she's never been the one to choose her words carefully.

Yeah, well, Marcos Baghdatis didn't mention Roger in his runner-up speech either, so if that's the reason why she's being attacked, let's string him up too then. Right? But...that's NOT the reason, so...

But, she's never been the one to choose her words carefully. It would have been nice if Justine just said that Amelie played well. Other than that, fuck what people think. If I were her, I would have busted out some "I was at 20%, but I kept fighting! Fighting all my life!"

Marv may have known shit about tennis... but, he's a solid announcer, and didn't pretend like he knew much. Whereas Fowler sucks in every imaginable way. But, as a positive, at least he stopped whistling for good shots this year.
